Ever since the 11th century these strong horses were used as working animals. With their big hooves and short legs they pull heavy agricultural tools on the land or stage coaches and they were often used in the mining industry.
I painted them in different colours: from chestnut to light grey. The feathering on the legs is painted black and grey. Unfortunately, the tails of the horses have been cut off. This is prohibited by the Dutch and Belgian law, so buying them is at your own risk… 🙂
